Itzehoe/Tübingen, October, 21 2024 – CustomCells has gained another experienced production expert: Matthias Weixler has joined the German battery pioneer as “Senior Vice President Global Manufacturing & P01 Project”. The former Magna manager will contribute his international experience and expertise in production issues. In his new role, Matthias Weixler will be responsible for CustomCells’ global manufacturing strategies and the “P01 Project”. This project focuses on the development and industrialization of premium battery technologies for aviation.
“With Matthias Weixler, we have gained an internationally experienced manufacturing expert for our vision,” said Dirk Abendroth, CEO of CustomCells. “His expertise will help us achieve our ambitious goals in industrial battery production and the internationalization of our company.”
Matthias Weixler, a mechanical engineer, spent more than 25 years at Magna, a leading global automotive supplier, most recently as Group General Manager for Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting for Central Europe and India. During his career, he has worked in a variety of disciplines: From logistics and operations to project management, business development and general management positions.
He set up several international locations, some of which he managed for many years. He worked for many years in the United States, Russia, South Korea and Italy.
