Supporting the electrification of the automotive industry, Applus+ Laboratories invests in testing technology for new energy vehicles. Through our global network of laboratories, we offer testing and homologation services for most onboard electrical and electronic components, as well as vehicle electronic architecture.
Our specialized teams focus on high-voltage systems, thoroughly testing each new component in electric vehicles, including e-motors, inverters, OBCs, and battery packs.
Additionally, our dedicated battery test centre in the UK, with 1.5 MW of installed power, features a wide range of specialist facilities for battery testing and type approval. This includes a safe battery storage facility and a unique shaker system combined with a large climatic chamber for battery pack testing. We also handle EMC testing of battery packs in our semi-anechoic chambers.
By combining our UK lab with Applus+ facilities worldwide, we possess the equipment and expertise to provide comprehensive testing and homologation services for batteries, adhering to key testing standards and regulations such as UN 38.3, UNECE R100, UNECE R10, and other OEM standards.
